Temporary halt to referrals to Otago Youth Wellness Trust

With some reluctance, but out of necessity, we are putting a halt on new referrals into Otago Youth Wellness Trust wraparound case work, from today.

We will review the situation in a month and keep you in touch.

We are carrying a high number of wait room clients currently, and given the complexity of those cases, need to have them assigned to caseworkers before we can take more referrals.  We are unable, given our funding restraints, to bring on more caseworkers to meet the real needs we are seeing, so have to work with the resources we have available.

Please do feel free to continue to make inquiries for support for rangatahi – we are happy to continue to provide this service and assist in suggesting other options that may work.

Schools can continue to refer to the Attendance Service.
